Practice

Kit Driscoll focuses her practice on estate planning for high net worth individuals and trust administration. As part of her practice, she creates and implements thoughtful, sophisticated estate plans that shift wealth in a tax efficient manner and accomplish clients’ personal and philanthropic goals. Kit’s practice also includes tax filings and compliance, and resolving tax controversies related to estate planning matters.

Kit counsels clients from an array of backgrounds and industries⁠—⁠including real estate developers, entrepreneurs, venture capital and private equity investors, tech founders and industry professionals, and philanthropists⁠—⁠and is adept at understanding clients’ unique needs and preferences. She emphasizes translating tax jargon and concepts into an understandable format that empowers clients to make informed planning decisions.

Before joining Coblentz, and while attending night law school, Kit was a Business Valuation Associate at Andersen. She now leverages her financial expertise to perform thoughtful analysis for her clients and advise them accordingly.

Kit is a Co‑Chair of the Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section of the Barristers of the San Francisco Bar Association.

Kit earned her LL.M. in Taxation from NYU. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of San Francisco School of Law where she was a research assistant to Professor Garvey, a McAuliffe Society member, and a senior staffer on the University of San Francisco Law Review. She earned her B.S. in Management Science with a Minor in Accounting from UC San Diego.
